Title: What grade of grease do I need ???
Post by: Red and Single on April 22, 2007, 11:56:38 AM
I\'m replacing my diff and the grease which goes in the driveshaft sockets  needs renewing as it is dirty.

It does not feel like normal grease, can anyone shed any light as to what grade I should be looking for ??

Thanks in advance guys...

Its probably a lithium grade grease if it smells. If you put lithium grease in anyway its about as high as spec as you can get anyway.

Yep that what we use.

Just make sure its spotless clean before you load it up with grease and make sure the Boot is not damaged/Cracked then use some good quality clips (make sure you don\'t have grease on the Boot-Shafts mating surface, it just seals better and less chance of moving about)
