Title: Window pops out of seal at top
Post by: boltoa on January 14, 2004, 09:39:54 AM
Morning all

I\'ve had a niggly problem on my car (94 type R import) since I first got it. When I wind my drivers side window up, it doesn\'t seal correctly. It seems to tip forwards just as it gets to the top, and the back part pops out the guide groove. To get it to go in properly, I have to close the window with the door open, pushing the back part of the window in and downwards with my hand while it moves upwards.

Anyone else have this or preferably has had it and fixed it? Anything I can do about it?

Muchos gracias for any suggestions.

Andrew

i have a similar prob with the 2nd gen rx7 and the same prob in the rover

take the door card off ( inner door trim ) and make sure the window is following the guides

what mine was doing on the rover is that it got soo far up and becasuse i had a loose bolt holding the motor to the door - it would jump out of the guides

retighten all bolt and greased all the guides and runners and works like a dream now

i will do the rx7 ones when its nice weather outside !

hope this helps
