Title: Carbon Tailgate, perspex window; how to attach?
Post by: Papercup on April 18, 2007, 12:28:11 PM
Hi Guys,

Bought a Rex recently and it has the Re-Amemiya carbon (i think) tailgate and perspex \'glass\'. The screen had a few gaps in the bonding and has been getting worse. I took it out today as it looked like it was going to fly away!

What do i use to \'glue\' it back in? Whats on there now looks like normal black silicon sealer, like bathroom sealer. The guy at the tyre place said it was and to clean the old stuff off and get some from B&Q or whatever. But he\'s no expert; anyone know if thats right?

Got the activity day tomorrow; i\'d like a rear window for it!

cheers

Andy

Sikaflex is probably a good bet, could try auto windscreens for some proper bonded screen goop.
