That\'s the way :cool  Pictures when it\'s back from being blasted please! :yes

Oh, do they coat the car after it\'s been blasted to keep the rust from reforming?

They should coat it yes, but still i want the welding and cage fitting done asap so we can get it off to paint.

Terribly impertinent of me, but could I ask for a close up of the drivers side front from straight on and from the side, or failing that, can I come over to see you and the frame in the next day or so with my camera so that I can see what lurks underneath.

You may have seen the thread about my crash, and I\'m interested to know whats under the panels - in case I need to add this to my growing list :(

Thats not a problem Prof, but the car is in Newbury, not at my work, so you would have to go down there to see it

Thanks guys - maybe enough info in the pictures and with the service and parts manuals to see what I need.

Sorry again for the thread hijack :D

Interesting to see the results of the shotblasting. Looks a lot more manageable after the process and with the coating on. Thanks for posting up the pics.

Could you help me with a few questions:

1) Is the coating a primer? i.e. OK to paint directly over once degreased etc.(probably a dumbass question!)
2) Who did the shotblasting and coating?
3) What did it cost to do?

Cheers

Dom

1) I\'m not sure, will find out for you
2) I don\'t actually know, again will find out for you, it was a company in Newbury
3) £700, They spent hours trying to get the sealant out of the joins so we could stitch weld it, if it were not for that it would have been much cheaper.

Its going to be painted this colour:

Thanks,

Interesting point about the sealant. Imagine that\'s a pretty time consuming process and in hindsight prob best done yourself to keep costs down (if you\'re patient enough :Laugh ).

Cheers

Nice colour BTW!
