Title: Single Turbo fitting
Post by: dazsir on April 17, 2007, 08:26:47 AM
Hi does anyone have some instructions for fitting a single turbo, such as removal of the air pump, blocking plates, rats nest removal?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It\'s pretty straigt forward to do. As you start taking bits off it\'ll become apparent which bits you don\'t want, which bits to blank off, etc, etc. However, if you need more help on this give me an email, or msn me.

hi dazsir, i posted a similar post as im attempting a DIY in next few days
so far ive learnt there is a wiring diagram as you have to modify the loom, there is a diagram for the vacuum lines.
to remove the air pump you need the blanking plate, 30 odd pounds
shorter belt which is 18 pounds ish.
ive been told to upgrade fuelling by 850\'s in the 550\'s and a fuel pump, apparently they just slot straight in and they are colour coded

any other tips in the doing the conversion your self?
thanks

No modification to the loom is necassary. Other than not having to plug the solenoids in any longer, you don\'t have to touch the loom.
