Title: Air pump blanking plates? Do I still need the gaskets?
Post by: probedb on April 12, 2007, 08:41:14 PM
Just got some blanking plates made up by a friend and noticed there\'s a gasket where the pipe usually connects. Do I still need to gasket if I have the blanking plate?

Ta :)

Paul.

Well yes but i\'ve used Silicone before now (Like Sycoflex so there going no where fast ;)) I\'ve never had a problem with leaks.

yeah, just use silicone. Mazda sump sealant would do the job very nicely (It\'s basically what it\'s for!)
