got parcel today aquamist Hi Flow System 5,need to source a tank next, whats best capacity to go for ? read somewhere 5 to 10% of fuel tank capacity.
Next book in with wgt assume Pip will relocate battery to the boot to fit pump/tank in the engine bay - would prefer to keep battery where it is & get pump/tank in the boot believe to do this needs diferent wiring to cope with the distance ? ,intention is to run 50/50 mix, remap looming up
Noooooo the wiring you have is fine for boot mount , just mounted my WI Pump and tank in Boot, have run water lines power lines signal lines underneath the carpet along the seal

Nice one,its just i read below on their site
Pump in trunk?...
20. Is it possible for the water pump to be located in the trunk (opposite end of the car?
Unless there is absolutely no alternative, the pump should always be by the engine bay.
21. What if there are no other alternatives?
You need to double the size of the electrical cable to the pump or loss of performance will result, this a due to voltage drop in the cable and the pump is not receiving maximum current from the battery. (this is true if the battery is at the opposite end of the car).
22. Is there another way other than increasing the size of the cable ?
Yes, fit a small rechargeable battery near to the water pump (6.5 AHr-lead acid) will do it. The battery will supply the peak current to the pump (28A for 1ms)and retains the peak performance of the pump. preferred option was boot mount as got a nice blingy battery box (sad or what ? )
I think the answers on their site refer to the other kits they sell with the smaller pumps and the guage of the wire on those older kits is thinner, I will email Richard at Aquamist to confirm

Hope all goes well :Thumbsup! look forward to seeing pics & what improvement you get.
Did you get tank from richard & what size did you go for ?
My tank was left over form my old coolingmist order so re-used that.
Just got an email back from Richard, yes the wiring provided in the HFS kit is fine for boot mounted Pumps
the instruction says the pump should mounted in the front cos thats where the battery is, no point moving the battery to the boot and then putting the pump in the front as you create the same problem!
I fitted one of these kits to the tripple FD and the wiring is great, it comes with everything ready to plug in, it makes life a lot easier.

We have been made World Wide distributors for the IDC tracking, that Aquamist were not going to release.
Its in the finishing stages of reproduction and willl hopefull be ready to stock our shelves soon.
Working on a deal for installation as well.
Scott has said he will offer me any advise as has Richard from Aquamist and Mr Installer?

Hi Gary
Scott has done mounds of research/work on the HFS 5 along with Richard shame sold his car after it to go karting - each to their own.
I got the same kit and won myself a water tank off flee bay for 25quid delivered.:chat :chat it does not heat soak and can be mounted in the engine bay.....:2eek i think it will do the trick
yeah i know what your saying the car was something special for stock twins and had so much research and hard work, could have done bl88dy miricals this year with it.
Scott is doing very well with his Kart, he is getting very quick now.
I\'ll be updating //www.hannibalrx7.co.uk later, as we are helping Scott with his kart, Race sites going to get hectic later this year, got 5 RX7 2 Pulsars and Scotts Kart, plus teh 2 Hydroplanes racing, cant get enough time at mo to keep it all up to date.
So Scott will stil be around.
