Title: Groupbuy On A Diff Brace Is A Gogo!!
Post by: interloper393 on April 11, 2007, 10:13:56 AM
Ok guys had had the word back from Clive and this groupbuy is now Open :D
As in the other thread, the braces will be painted black, or other colours if demand is high enough and will cost between 65-69 squid, as clive reckons i may have been optimistic with my postage costs lol..
Any way heres a few pics of what they will kinda look like, might replace the thinner bars with solid sheets of metal.
Iv also posted this on FDUK so if your names on here plz dont add it there.
They only take 10 mins 2 fit and i`ll test fit everyone on my car first before i post them out.

Cheers :wave

Have these braces been tested?have they got a warranty?my mate had an inferior brace fitted on his,he didnt know it had cracked on the welds-then after a hard launch no support and bang! new diff required. He has since fitted a stainless one with no problems, the one i use and tested on the top british drag cars, when will people learn, you have been warned, cheaper is not always better.:2eek

theres earning a living and bending you over backwards and taking advantage, iv used the vendors on here, so im more than willing to support them to help the club out, but as i few iv spoken 2 and like myself, feel that a certain vendor has really lost the ball lately and i wont be using again.

Well its up to you guys, if you want this to go ahead, let me know because as of now im out until i hear otherwise..

Cheers :D

Your selling a mild steel version at a cost price of £69.00.
How is selling a better tested product with lifetime warranty for £100 a rip off?
How much do you think we buy them for, if you are paying a cost price of £69for a mild steel replica?

Ok, MOD hat on.

Play nice Ladies and Gents, this thread is being watched by the moderation team.

Personally I would advise against any proclomations on the reliability of this or any other product until I had tested both myself.

Secondly, if anybody has a compliant about how the forum is being moderated, or against any particular user then it should be reported via the correct channels and not aired in this way, there is no point in stirring sniping at one another.

Kind REgards,

Brett Williams :wave

Well i apologise for another thread for a group buy going Boobies up... seems to be coming more common..

As i said before just thought i could save a few people some cash on one of these, when crap like this happens every time, no wonder no one bothers..

Any who.. feel free to shut this down if you wish.. O and if you`d like a "Tried and tested brace" go to Ross or Gary :)

Peace out :yes

For information purposes although Craig has said Clive said this is a go, this was only after Craig\'s request was placed in the moderation section for the teams approval, and not my personal approval, Craig knows this is why there was a delay with this being approved.

Dom, as a former moderator you should have realised how this request would have been conducted.

BTW everybody,

At the AGM it was put forward and agreed by its members that only traceable club members would be able to apply to operate group buy on MRC from now on.

Title: It\'s a Sad Day!!!!!!
Post by: n4bes on April 11, 2007, 11:27:13 PM
First of all I have a Re-Worx diff brace fitted, therefore not gaining from this group buy. Looks quite similar to this one, not as clean tho......lol.

I find it sad that a Member of the forum has been "bullied" into pulling out of a group buy because the product is offered by a site vendor. The saving of £30 by each member would of be welcome I\'m sure...........................
The other thread offering a diff brace group buy from a vendor is all good and well, but to put it up after commenting on the other thread is some what strange. Is this to frighten off the member...????

I joined this club because of the things like group buys etc as well as to use the vendors for parts, however this is leaving a sour taste in my mouth.

I thought this was a club for members not vendors..............................

My 2p\'s worth.

QuoteI see your taking over from my hard work now.. thats nice of you bud

Well its not just you that has to hard work, Im up most nights till 1 or 2 adding new products, working most days 14-16 hrs.
Ross has designed and made them, tested them.
Where was your hard work.

Your original quote was earning you a minimum of £30-£40 per unit on these braces, group buys are supose to be non profit, I doubt you were doing it to help members as you pretend, but to earn a quick buck, without warentee or recourse.
On another thread you have recently been making vented headlight covers, selling rotors, making a profit, good on you, but you should be paying to advertise and earn money from MRC, will you be declaring this to the tax man?I have to.
I thought MRC was not allowing this to happen, as voted by the members at the AGM.

If a member posts a wanted add and I post I have the parts for sale do I start whinging when a member starts offering the same thing cheaper, cant remember a thread. But if a member starts a group buy and I offer a product the same you start complianing, very one sided.

Vendors have tax, overheads and a living to be earnt, we do not come in to your jobs and offer a cut price service and take away your living and think it our right, I hope one day some Albanion takes your job for half the money, you wont like it, but might think on it.

If you feel you want to advertise on MRC please feel free to do so, most advertisers have opted out, I wonder why.
Join as a vendor, try and earn a living from it, I have no problems with that.
I have no problems with anyone else wanting to pay and advertise on here.

My 2p\'s worth.

No member has been bullied, and anyone wanting to buy these can, I cant stop them.
As a paying advertiser, I offered the same product at the same price, as group buys are to be non profit making by the member were was the harm in saying I have the same product at the same price, support someone who is supporting the club not freeloading. Dont see how this frightens anyone off.

This is very much a members club and this is how members voted for vendors and group buys. It can hardly be a vendors with with only 6 vendors on it.

Im sure you or others could arrange group buys through vendors but usually choose to earn a quick buck for them selves.

Ross has designed and made them, tested them.
Where was your hard work. so where was yours?

And you claim im making profits by making vented headlight covers? do i sell/or i have sold any? no i havnt..selling rotors? they went for 25 m8, no profit there.., so where is all this profit that im making then? and as no one asked, these braces are stainless steel so 40 profit on each of these? think not.. your just p!ssed because no ones joining your group buy because everyone cn see your to expensive .. just my 2p.

My hard work goes in to maintaining my business, adding & maintaning my site and selling a product, suppling several sponsored cars etc, promoting my business and rotaries, you try and do that on the profit you want to make.
Not too expensive, just selling at cost as you could afford to, thats not running a business.

Not going to get in to a bun fight with you, Ive said my 2p

My only grudge was you came and had a go because i didnt go through you, if you cn do a groupbuy at the same price, carry on, go for it..

"But if a member starts a group buy and I offer a product the same you start complianing, very one sided."

Dont see why you think this is one sided? maybe in the future if a group buy is to be arranged then a mod can contact vendors first to see if they can match the price/product, if not then the groupbuy goes ahead with no 1 making comments?

Any way im finished now so take care everyone :yes

On a more possitive note, will i receive my hks filter before the weekend :D but if its ticking i aint openin it.. lol
