car looks mint!!!, altho there is a strange red glow comming from under it, this could be explained by the picture being took in 1995, when neon lights were cool

well thats some interesting opinions , gotta say its a bit like marmite , you either love it or ya dont !!! yeah it may be a bit over the top for an everyday driver but who cares you only live once . the neons only come on when its at shows and you cant see them sticking out like your usual chavtastic boyracers an if they are good enough for vin diesel then .....lol wondered how long it would take for sumsody to notice the old 1980 ford tiger stripe effect lol i thought the same when she was 1st done !!! anyways im chuffed to bits with it now and dont have any issues finding it in a carpark with all the people usually standing round taking pictures !!!

oh yeah an by the way , who said its not a drift car ??????????

with all due respect did your mother never teach to that if you didnt have anything nice to say not to speak at all.

a thread about someones hard efforts to make something which is unique to him and the market deserves respect and positive comments.

you saying it looks like arse doesnt help anybody just makes you look very ignorant.

next time you post about something you feel very passionate about which you have achieved you will not appreciate people pi5sing on your glory.

nobody wants to argue with you and i think his comment was due to him wondering why you posted at all so lets just leave it there this place and this thread arent for petty arguments.

What does it feel like to stand back and finally say, "This is exactly where I want to be.....nothing more to be done other than to enjoy it!" ??

Thats life, people **** on you all the time. If everyone pansies about all their life just agreeing then we would get no where. I mean if you make such a bold statement as to thinking its the best rx7 on the road then why cant someone who doesnt think it is state otherwise?
I mean I dont particularly like the graphics either and would not like them on my car if i was using it on the road, but more to the point I think a poor wheel choice has let the look down. The car is in your face so should have some consideration put into the wheels to try keep them in with the overall look.

He\'s spent plenty of money getting the car to where he wants it to be. So to him it is the best rx-7 on the road.....

All that\'s being said is if you don\'t like it, great. But don\'t knock the blokes personal preferences and say they\'re wrong....they\'re just not yours....

I dont doubt he has spent alot money getting the car to where is is and yes I can appreciate that it is of his personal opinion, but why cant I have mine? I have seen plenty threads on here where people have posted links to cars which they consider "hideous" and there has been whole threads mocking the cars etc.. but they are someones personal taste but its ok for people to judge?
I dont see why I should have to agree with everything just to keep in with clicheness of an internet forum.

And sorry to the original poster for runining your thread with arguging.

Post by: gsb876 on April 12, 2007, 01:15:47 PM
When my car is finally ready (3 weeks) it will be featured in a few choice mags was actually gonna ask D-King to come along too and do a double feature as he is close by.

Now many may not like his choice of decals or kit but its personal preference, i\'m sure when my car is ready people will say they dont like it i dont have a issue with that, but you need to be more subtle in the way you word the debate, its not nice blantantly slating a car, but if you had of said "not really my cup of tea but as long as you\'re happy" then theres no arguement ?? :King

PS - slate my car and i will hunt you down :2Mad

the point we are making is this thread is titled pretty much perfect not what do you guys think, we are not discussing any other threads about any other cars.

I dont have an opinion on your opinion and its not my place to say but i do have a problem with you stating it as fact. Something not being to your taste isnt "Wrong".

you are entitled to your opinion and others have stated negative comments however others on this thread know that this thread is abuot the achieevment and completion of alot of hard graft. hence why we are congradulating and giving thanks to someone who is adding to our rotary cause with more unique adaptations of beauty.

Please do not agure any further as it is far from necessary. your opinion has been heard.

My Rex had been off the road for over 5 years (Long story, I\'ll talk ya through it soom time). She\'s a silver TypeR, a stocker for the most part.

I\'ve made a few changes to the mechanics and the look but never been one to tinker to much. Been told a few times it looks brand new which is a nice compliment. That may be cause I\'ve not used her for over 5 years.

Now it\'s back I love it as much as the first day I bought it (Sad but true). A sensational drive and fast as fook, what more do you want from a sports car.

Surprised I\'ve not seen ya flying down the A610 pal.

Hey Kev.

Looking good mate. With mine being a UK spec car I simply couldn\'t do such things to the bodywork as they\'re getting rarer in good condition every day I hear!
But got to hand it to you... think it looks great mate. Also not a fan of graphics normally and couldn\'t believe it when you said that you were going to be going down that route - but think you\'ve pulled it off - doesn\'t look out of place at all. I\'ve not seen it in the flesh, but can\'t wait to. Also liking your new wheels. Wasn\'t a fan of your old ones, but these really set the car off. Especially how you\'ve had them colour coded also. Finishes it off mate.
Have got to say though mate... you must have balls of steel using a car as low as that as a daily driver! Been there, done that, got the T-shirt and it wrecked my head! Speed bumps (of an unnecessary height and magnitude) are always popping up randomly!
Get car back this weekend... but going to the USA for 3 months during May time... so in between time will make sure that I meet up for a few cruises as seems I will be missing most of this years events due to last minute commitments! DOH!

Also... with going to the states... if any of you guys are after any performance parts... but cheaper... for you Rex. Get my contact details off of me and I can either post them back to you from there whilst out there or bring them back - as long as you get the cash to me (PayPal fine). I\'ll be getting a few bits over there for sure.

For instance. NGK leading 7 heat range plugs are like $10 each over there rather than over £20 each as like here. Same with AST tanks, ignition wires, etc. Hell... even Apexi PFC\'s and Commanders are loads cheaper.
