Title: seatbelt warning driving me nutts !
Post by: scientist1968 on April 10, 2007, 05:41:43 PM
...the warning light on the dash is flashing and beeping constantly, can anybody tell me how to make it stop ??
(yes i have put my seatbelt on !)

tried;

1.undoing the connector under the seat.
2. taking bulb out off dash.
3. taking out fuses, but it runs off the power windows and dash circiut.

a set of wire seems to go to the inertia reel seat belt housing, so i guess there is a switch or sensor in there ? Can\'t find it on my wiring diagram.

If you have encountered this annoying problem b4 what was your fix ?

Sounds like your F100 ecu unit is faulty. Do a search for F100. there has been many threads about this

sounds like it could be that, does it also affect how your electric windows work? mine did exactly the same! it may also be marked as F110. not sure if there is any difference, the F110 was faulty on mine, replaced with F100 and worked fine. maybe just different marking for different year of manufacture?

Yep, sounds like the F100 box. Seatbelt light flashing and buzzing, drivers window only going up in spurts in time with the buzzing.... Got my replacement for about £60 from Jimmys IIRC.

I wouldn\'t reccommend disabling the f100 unit. You rely on that if you ever get a coolant leak the alarm beeps. Also it\'s a nice feature to have the beeper at the top end of the rev range. Mine doesn\'t beep if you haven\'t got the seat belt on though, only when low on coolant, lights are on or keys in the ignition, now that does my head in!

If you do a goole on Clive Haynesford you might notice a thing about putting a sticker over it. ;)

robbie my coolant alarm still works and so does rev limit alarm, so f100 unit must be pluged in still
