Post by: interloper393 on April 08, 2007, 10:34:10 PM
Jus wondering on how to improve the standard fd brakes n if any of these mods make a difference :)
Was thinking of getting:

Brake Stopper
Braided Hoses all round
Better Brake fluis

Also can the standard disc be increased in size? or best to go with vented and drilled..

Any info on your experience would be kewl :cool

ps. Fast road and track use lol

you can get a caliper widening kit, basically a spacer to go in between the two halves if you split the caliper in half.  I have got some bigger vented discs, and pads and braided hoses.  Just waiting to find a spacer then will install.  If you find anyone selling them let me know.

braided lines, high performance fluid,  suitable pads (hawk or mintex extreme etc) good discs, black diamond drilled/grooved are good enough.

Lots of money to start going for big brake conversions. The stock set up is plenty good enough for trackdays with right pads and fluid

There used to be a guy on the banners at the top called Billet Bits/z, he suplied spacer kits, he did mine. I use FD callipers on a 330 mm disc 30 mm wide.

Search the forum you may find some details
