Title: Finally sorted my insurance!!..
Post by: Tango on April 06, 2007, 04:15:21 PM
Hi all,

After ringing about every insurer in the UK ... adrian flux have sorted me out. a few places said the only reason they wouldnt touch me is because im under 23 (until next week!) and that ive no proof of experience driving performance cars. im insured with adrian flux now & they have said they will do a "Change of vehicle" on my existing policy (for a pug 306) onto my RX7 (when i pick her up) until renewal at end of June and it will only cost me £250!! sorted! then when that runs out ill be 23 & will have been driving the car for a month or two so will have that "experience" & hopefully get some decent quotes.

for a full policy Adrian flux wanted £1450 which i can live with.
someone else quoted me £7000!! :flamed ! i hung up after laughing for a few minutes. :D

Hi,

Welcome to the club.  I read on one of your threads this is your first Jap car.  Congrats but a friendly word please be careful getting used to the rwd.  They can really bite your ass out of nowhere in the last 1 year on this club I have counted 10 people or more who stacked shortly after buying.

It is no joke.

I bet you will be suffering sleepless nights now until you get the car.  Enjoy it.

Also, you could try Aplan Thatcham branch for insurance quote.

:cheers

yeh, good advice. dont worry im not a stupid driver, i respect the car for what it is:god  & appreciate its gonna take a good while to get used to it. on top of that i cant afford to fix it if i popped the engine whilst driving like an idiot. One of the main reasons i joined up here for the advice. ive seen too many people smash up & even some in fatal accidents through stupid driving or just carelessness so ive always got my whitts about me. thanks for the welcome... think the £30 will be worth it purely for the amount of great info on here! maybe meet some of you this year & events e.t.c. :WaveBye
