Post by: 3148markc on April 05, 2007, 11:25:54 PM
Can anybody help or know what might have gone wrong my headlights are stuck in the up possition and will not go back down, could this be a fuse problem ? where is the fuse for the headlight motor ? could this be any other common fault ?  Cheers !

the fuse is marked retractor i think and is on the positive terminal on the battery 30 amp from memory.

if you dont have a cover its the one (standing in front of the car) that is secnd from bottom.

I had this problem too, I checked all the fuses, which seemed fine, and eventually found out that my wheels had rubbed through my wheel arch liner and rubbed through the pop up motor cables...  :/

the fuse diagrams are on here for download somewhere, but yeah, the pop up motors are marked as headlight retractors on the fuse box covers...
