Anyone know what sort of differences there are between these 2 types of coilovers?
Springrates etc?
Thanks
The HA had stiffer damping capabilities than the Super Street however the HA was discontinued 3 or 4 years ago so the closest and cheapest option you have is the Super Street kit that as official Tein distributors we have available if you wish for £750 inc Vat delivered.
(please note this price is with upper mounts that we advise people fit with these kits to gain the maximum performance for your money ) .
Hope this helps.
superstreets nicer ride than standards by miles, got mine off clive, well pleased
Thanks, are they adjustable for damping?

Do they go hard enough and still provide good damping for the odd track day?
Basically whats the differences and why would you pay more for the Tein flex for example?

never run flex so cant answer that, certainly hard enough for track - clive can answer diference i am sure
My old Tein HAs were solid! If superstreets are anywhere near them, they\'ll be ok for trackdays. Have you had a look at the Tein website?

Yup, but the HA\'s are not on it any more and the options are used HA\'s or ..............:2Rolleyes
How about on the softer settings were they still hard? I want a shock for all ocasions:evillaugh
They were bareable on the softest setting, but it depends on what you\'re used to and how much you want to sacrifice comfort. I\'d say they\'re not suitable for all occasions, but do make for good trackdays - you make a compromise one way or the other, if it\'s a weekend car then go with the HAs but may be worthwhile contacting Tein and seeing if they will still refurb or offer parts for discontinued products...
If I\'d have known I would\'ve taken you out in my fd when picking the exhaust up as the Hks coilovers I\'ve got on now are very similar to the HAs.
To be honest I\'m not really ready to buy coilovers but I alawys keep an eye out for whats being sold as at some point I\'ll need them. From what I\'ve read Tein flex sound the most suitable for what I want as I think I want something more than just bareable for day to day use but it\'s good to know the differences you get compared to the costs.
Next time your up my way drop in.
So what of the current range are the HA equivalent to?
I have HA on my car, they were on it when i got it. I run them on minimum on the road and its OK, but i am on standard bushes. On track you turn the front up to maximum and the rear up halfway and its a weapon. Very little roll and stunning amounts of grip. My car has been set-up by a suspension specialist, corner-weighted, had all its\' cambers set etc so maybe thats something to do with it.
I would put these at the \'slightly too much for the road if you drive it every day\' level, but excellent once you get on track. I am not looking to change them; handling and speed come before comfort!

I\'m running the Flex kit on mine. Is\'t brilliant. Wound up it\'s superb for track and towards the soft end of things it\'s as comfortable on bad roads as my old man\'s A4. Not quite as floaty as my Jeep though :)
