Post by: interloper393 on April 02, 2007, 01:52:04 PM
Took my car for a drive and theres hesitation around 3500rpm, read a few things so changing the plugs, redoing a earth to the chassis but would the air pump cause it? seemed to run fine then started jumping on throttle increase n not running worth a toss..

Also fixed this valve we glue, would this cause it? have one coming soon so will be replaced..:wave

water sensor can do this, it tells the ecu its still cold so cars runs in warm up mode. That was the cause of mine and sensor fixed it.

You can just disconnect the airpump with the electrical connector which sort of on top of it.  Give it a try and see if it makes a difference - dont leave it off too long if you still have a cat in......

Yeah, there should be a restrictor type bung in place to help reduce the mooing noise the airpump makes (It reduces it to only a few mm).

Mmmmmm cant remember to be honest fella - hopefully someone can advise you though - I fitted mine a while ago and the brain is not too good anymore! :chat but just for info, the one I had with mine was just ali.

The airpump should pull the air from your filters - sounds silly but you do have the rubber hose that goes from the airpump to the filters attached?

That wont help the noise but as the air is not going into the engine I guess it\'s not too bad - I would still stick a filter on there or get some pipe going to your filters, even if you use a breather filter I would think that good enough?
