Title: This weekend\'s progress.
Post by: kermit on April 01, 2007, 05:53:30 PM
Decided to spend this weekend by starting to sort out the tatty interior.  Started on Saturday by removing all the dirty old white rollcage padding and replacing it with some nice new blue cucso stuff.

Very happy with the result! :wiggle

Sunday\'s task was to start replacing all the dash panels that had been hacked to bits in japan by the previous owner who had relocated the heater controls.  Got myself a set of the later spec panels that seem more durable.

Main clock panel hasn\'t gone back in yet because I need to pick up my recalibrated MPH clocks.  Also stuck my on my RX8 5-speed gear knob! :cool

Looks cool mate, I have just finished installing my 99 spec dash panels. They look a real treat and 100 times better than the other stuff that was covered in scratches !!!

Yeah, they are so much better than the early type plastic finish.

Next up will be to get one of those gauge pods (when they are made) that fit into the speaker grill and install 3 lovely Defi gauges!:cool

Update...

Got my recalibrated speedo back so the dash is all back in.  Sorry the photos are pretty pants but it looks a lot nicer in the flesh so to speak!

Also fitted my AD9 Bonnet which looks rather tasty!  My old panspeed one will be up for sale very soon!

Fit is not too bad Paul, its a little bit gappy at the front but I think I can make it slide forwards a bit more.  Also the front bumper is not fitted properly at the moment so is hanging off a bit!

This weekend should be fine mate!
