You need to edit the link mate, the pics arent working.
Am picking up the Saxo power steering pump tonight so will post some pics up of the install when i get round to it tomor once i\'ve finished off the battery install....slowly getting there. If anyone wants any parts ie: powersteering, stock intercooler, alternator, rear seats, cargo straps, rear belts, AFM(S5) then let me know as they are just clogging up the garage
any one else having troubles as all seems ok from my end?
ok seeing what i can do now
pics not working
They are working now - looks good !
Yeah I second that, working fine now.
Project looks good mate !!!!
Coming along nicely! :cool
What light\'s are you going to use?
Going to put back in the stock ones for now or get a set of thoses HID ones, took them out to get more room in for removing the bumper....still no luck there! Been on it all day now and have finished the battery install, drilled the battery holder into the rear passenger seat well, tidied up the cable from main fuse box too battery and removed any excess, bolted the fuse holder to the inside of the seat well. Have also removed the stock power steering pump and started fitting the electric pump i have aquired from a cirtoen saxo. Covered in powersteering fluid, grime from the engine housing and now have a few extra 1" gouges on both of my hands......oh and half of the sahara dessert in my eyes lol
Battery bolted into the back using the stock battery holder, fits surprisingly well into the rear well, just watch the brake/fuel lines when drilling!!!! Will keep my eyes peeled for a nice battery box just to tidy the whole thing up a bit.

a man after my own heart, i have that i/c so it will definately fit and work well.
the piping will be quite easy, just need a hack saw!
Quotejust need a hack saw!
Already got one lol!
now with the powersteering and battery out of the way should find the whole thing alot easier. just awaiting the pipes, will update more once they arrive.

Ouch! It\'s a feeling I think we all know too well! :evillaugh
Good progress mate!
Ok quick update, this arrived this morn :D

And now kinda looks like this lol

This is no way finished by the way, its literally holding itself together, i was just trying to figure out which pipe goes where, i need a few more bits and bobs to sort it out nicely, ie a nice 45degree bend coming off the turbo....etc
But its getting there
Looks like you picked up some extra injector holders in one of those pipes ;) :cool
Seems you have an extra intercooler now too - are you going with Front mount ?
Yeah its mounted right in the front and sits directly in front of the holes in the front bumper, once its all sorted and tightened up it\'ll be sweet. And yeah these we\'re added by the guy that owned it before, there are a set of two injector holders with blocking of plates and a flange for a HKS BOV...tasty
Ok quick update once again, been pretty busy this week and got a fair bit done. This is how we\'re looking at present, starting to come together
(http://file030a.bebo.com/7/large/2007/04/16/18/1268799819a4125150375b18934736l.jpg)
Have made a template which you can see hides all the nastyness, the original shroud i have removed, just need to get this cut from alluminium and should be looking a little more Bling. As you can see the IC sits almost perfect down in the front bumper.
Just awaiting the Greddy Elbow from the states, should be along in a week or so then i can get this finished off nicely
(http://file030a.bebo.com/7/large/2007/04/16/18/1268799819a4125153157b881738645l.jpg)
Regards to where i got with the powersteering, its in and fitted, just making a bracket to secure it where the battery used to go. Such an easy mod, the old PS high pressure and low pressure lines fitted straight on to the Saxo pump without any bother and i mounted the PS reservoir on the end of the fuse box. Yet to test it as the engine is not running at mo....Fingers crossed all should be good!
Old fuel pump is out ready for the new one coming from Grinder, its an FD pump so will be a nice little upgrade. Heres a pic in case your not sure what the stock pump looks like. Real easy to get out just remove the 4screws holding the cover down under the insulation in the boot, remove the two fuel lines......make sure you\'ve released the pressure first, then take out the small screws holding the pump in place, about 8 if i remember. These were a pain as they are small and caked in grime so ended up rounding a few off but they all came out pretty easily. Then just lift out the fuel pump with a bit of giggery pokery and hey presto.....and boy what a smell, sure glad i didnt have a fag in my mouth! lol
(http://file013a.bebo.com/4/large/2007/04/16/18/1268799819a4125196707b86027020l.jpg)
Next on the to do list is fit the greddy elbow, install the fuel pump, change the plugs, leads and filters. Find a suitable induction pipe and make a cold air box outa alluminium and polystyrene, fit in the cold air feed from the front bumper to the cold air box, fill up the coolant, change the oil, stick some petrol in her and hope to god she starts!
Not too much else planned at present, just wanna get her running again before i take on any other major jobs. It\'ll be MOT time then so will concentrate on getting her through that.
looking good
are you putting the fan shroud back, i think you will need it to make the fan work properly
Wont be putting the shroud back on due to not having it lol. Will be plumbing in some temp gauges in the future to keep an eye on whats happening up front, other than that it ran fine when i was driving it about before i decided to take it off the road.
Will prob go towards the idea of an electric fan anyway and hopefully pick up the shroud that will come with that. All is good though and i am happy with the progress so far!
i remember when i did that exact thing. just installed a motor and was letting it run (without the shroud) for abit to check for leaks...next thing i knew i had a slippery slimmy mess that reached about 10ft past the car
everything is looking good. i really like the saxo ps pump. will be doing that soon i hope.
Adam ,
keep hold of the pump assembly - the thing that i have is just the bottom bit ( the pump and filter )
to be honest - i had no idea what they looked like :D
ok stu, glad you told me cause it was probably heading for the scrap pile lol
Nice to see the pictures of the progress :yes :cool (just done the fuel pump on the FD)
Well the exhaust turned up today and is now fitted, the FD fuel pump is in and done. Made the template for my cold air box, Top Sercret Project lol
Heres a pic update

Still havnt fired her up yet as still waiting on a compression elbow. Once this arrives with the couplers i should be able to have another go at getting her running, been about 6months since shes been started.
Also in the post is a Dual Alt Pulley, parts for an intercooler water spray system and a nice shiney battery box. Feeling quite chuffed at present lol
ooohhhh its looking gooood !
Sounds like a fair bit going on! Love the dials - seen quite a few different ones but those look bestest! :King
(ps I am still going to have those parts from your egi - just need the motivation! :wiggle )
Are those the reverse indiglo dials - basically go dark, but with lit up centre and numerals/markings in blue / red ?
yeah those are the ones Prof, can switch between blue/green with the aid of a dash mounted inverter and the brightness. Dual alt pulley turned up today too will get that fitted tomor.
Ricco gonna be havin the car collected soon so if ya want the bits let me know asap
Just need some struts Hint Hint Wink Wink ;)

I thought I recognized them - got those in my car too - I must admit I prefer it to the orange and black.
My dials look a little more busy than your faces - check out the night time pic http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20628&d=1150062417 (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20628&d=1150062417)
