Title: hhmmmm!
Post by: DC-TYPER on April 01, 2007, 12:49:06 PM
just checked my oil and found the slightest bit of white gunk under the oil filler cap
my car had a rebuild 13months/4k miles ago.
i do have regular oil/coolant changes

should i worry?

or is it it down to atmosphere moisture?

This is normal if you\'ve not really driven it for a little while. Check the water and oil levels, if they are ok then take it for a blat and check it tomorrow.

ALot of my previous cars I don\'t drive much and when I do, it\'s only a mile or 2 at a time.

I\'ve had this with all of them. It\'s to be expected if you don\'t take it on a decent run.
