Title: Re-Amemiya boost gauge Q...
Post by: elford_tim on March 29, 2007, 02:20:55 PM
Got a nice Re-A boost gauge + mount recently (thanks Miguel) which RoTechniks fitted when they had the car to look at some teething problems.

So, gauge works and all that but - it (a) appears to be completely undamped and (b) if it\'s normal that the gauge "rattles" at certain pressures (basically you can hear the needle flutter).

Just wondering if this is normal - RoTechniks already pointed out that the kit didn\'t come with any kind of damper for the vaccuum line so they had to insert one.

I had one fitted and mine used to rattle mate if that helps.

Mine rattles as well, only on boost and only when getting high amounts of boost, vaccuum is fine as is low boost ;)

And mine has no damper what so ever.

OK, if it\'s a case of "they all do that" then I\'ll live with it :).

I don\'t have anything but low boost at the moment, I\'m still running in the engine and asked RoTechniks to turn the boost down as far as possible to minimise the stress on the engine until it\'s run in...
