Title: Warning you guys about a seller.
Post by: RobPhobos on March 28, 2007, 03:19:45 PM
I guess I can\'t name and shame on here but if anyone is going to be buying an RX7 please make sure you know the company is good, or the seller/car is known.
Tried warning on PH but can\'t really do it, so I just hope nobody gets stung.

There\'s a \'Truth about Tuners\' thread somewhere around...

http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8377&highlight=truth+tuners

If you use it (for praise or otherwise) please keep it polite and factual.  Remember - it\'s your opinion you\'re stating (or facts about court, trading standards, etc) and not that of MRC.  Others may state a different opinion and, as long as it\'s kept \'clean\' and factual it shouldn\'t be a problem.

Ok well this guy is called Nick Sutton, now I dont personally know what his cars were like, they for all I know could have been great. He currently has some court thing to pay to my mate, however he didnt show up !
He was meant to import a car but it didn\'t show up until 5 months later or something stupid like that. Now if that was said in the begining that he could have to wait for 6 months, then he could have gone else where.
The website was called gtcars.com - it doesn´t exist now but seemed to be advertising some really decent examples and well known cars (top secret ones), so it could have been genuine or bs.
My friend tracked down the car he was meant to sell to him, so when I get home I\'ll post the new name its under.
Its a shame because I think it put my friend off Jap cars completely.

Oh well, lession learn\'t.

Thats right, it was a black one that my friend intended to buy (had a LARGE wing on it).
Cars could be ok but he was an A$$.

Looked a nice car but i have a feeling he works as a agent IE cars for sale in Japan he doesn\'t actually own the car, once someone agrees to buy it he then buy\'s it in Japan for a cheaper price then ships it over.

So the actual condition of the car could be alittle different from how it looks as things may go missing on the way here.

Well, I\'ve only ever bought cars from owners clubs, or look at the sellers asociated with them.
So I know in a year or so when I come back to the UK, I\'ll get one from here.

However Im thinking of going German...UR Quattro 500Bhp

Don\'t even get me started on this guy..... i have been sent alot of threads from the supra forums (MKIVSUPRA) about this guy as i was looking at the Black Rex mentioned on Autotrader, told my mate about it that has a supra and the links came flooding in!

All i can say is that the posts that i have read is people buying cars from him and them not having the spec list that is mentioned in the ad and also disappearing at crutial tiimes like mentioned above.

:Grrr

As goldk says there are a few members on mkivsupra.net that have had dealings with gt-cars and have found that alot of the part that were listed in his ad\'s weren\'t on the cars and cars weren\'t as discribed. He used to advertise on the forum but was thrown off.

Few. glad I didn\'t get that one wrong because I didn\'t have the personal dealings with it but obviously my best friend did.
Well my buddy ended up with a Clio V6 (I warned him not to) now he\'s got an Elise (which I told him to try initially before the Clio) lol.
:)
So he\'s finally happy, or will be one all the eliseparts.com bits are on it.
