Hi guys.
I went to get an exhaust put on my van today and one of the chaps there had 2 X FB\'s. He is using one at the moment whilst doing the other one up.
The one he is using will be up for sale in a week or twos time and he offered it to me for £600 including a few parts that can be put back on to bring it back to the original condition, i.e original dash, wheels etc.
i was just wondering if this was a fair price for a Vreg FB which does need some cosmetic work doing, i.e rust on arches etc.
It is MOT\'d until december and runs well from what I heard.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nik
you should be able to pick better ones up for that money, newer and better condition.
Paid £500 for a 1985 model with a twr bodykit and a full mazda service history.

Newer doesn\'t necessarily mean better.....i prefer the very early ones personally;)
I reckon 600 notes is ok for a nice EARLY one:cool Have a good look underneath for that nasty rust though.......look what i found on mine after i bought it
RUST (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35676)
I\'ve pushed my thoughts out on this before; the Mark3 1st Generation 1985/1986 seems to resist rust better than the Mark2 and most likely the Mark1 (which is what the V plate will probably be). I think its galvanealed steel on the later 1st Gens?
As Mr Bishi said the mk1 has some thing so goodabout it.
I own a 79 lhd yellow car that i waited to buy, ex California, no rust at all, fact is they all want to rust them selves back into the ground where they came from. had a mk2 and 3 both had worm but the old photos of Win Percy wheel up round corners are all of mk1\'s. Pics of my 7 on the old school meet in Dummer, the rx3 is also mine.
what ever you buy get its weight in Waxoyl pumped into it, stick it in a dehumidified garage and buy the best you can. You did good Bishi to turn round that white one so quickly.
the yellow 7 is going to get some power increase soon.
