I currently have the Bosch 044 pump fitted, but those in the know know that these aren\'t the best pump for track use.
Fitting an Apexi BNR 33 pump is the favored option, but NewEra do the SARD in-tank pump. The thing I cant work out is which one? 280l/h or lower?
I have the stock 550 pri and 1600 sec injector setup.
Thanks
Fish
i take it you use the 044 in tank. I think the GTr pump is a good in tank punp, otherwise run a swirl pot with the stock pump filling it, that is the best for track use.
If you don\'t mind me asking why is the 044 not good for track? is it the old 1/4 thing (pain in the rear to get the right Filter for the end) or is there another reason?
BTW i have a Apexi BNR and i can\'t fault it (well apart from i paid the better part of £300 for it)
Ant, I thought about a swirl pot but not sure where to mount it, as it wont be inside the car and the bay is a bit full.
Grizzly, yeah the 1/4 tank thing is a worry and I\'d rather get it right thus should I get the 280l/h or the 265l/h pump.
I just cant find how much the BNR flows, and the SARD is a lot less than £300. :)

Fish, When i was looking for a Fuel pump the Flow was second on my mind as i was thinking of running two, I wanted the Pump/Pumps with the best record for reliability which is why the Apexi and Bosch are so good they are Tried and Tested.

I believe reworx mount their swirl pot under the car (where the charc cannister is?) - might be an option, certainly something I\'ll be looking into soon.
Fish--the RE:WORX Swirl Pot ( There own R&D produced this )does fit in the C/Can hole everthing lines up and is an easy fit..it works perfect. I run the stock pump and the 044. Never had any issues whatsoever on track or strip no matter what the tank level. I have run it down to the light before leaving the track and filling up for more laps. HTH.
im going to be running a 044 but cant find a sock that fits if i run the reworx swirl pot can i forget about the sock??
Where is the C/Can hole? Not had one for years.

When the 044 has been put into the tank,we have found that the reason the light comes on with no probs,is the tank is not low, just that the level sender has, well shall we say been somewhat adjusted/bent to give a false reading by some installers.
In other words the tank is not empty, but around 1/4 full, just the guage reads empty and the light comes on,so you go and fill it up which prevents the prob.

Not on my FD Carl....Tank takes 60lts of fuel...light on 58lts less or more, fuel goes in. I know how much fuel goes in ...it says it on the V-Power pump in lts and £\'s...............21mpg:InLove

It\'s underneath near the diff area, it\'s where the overflow pipe from your fuel filler pipe goes into, the charcoal cannister then lets spillage evaporate safely.
Only thing I always do to be safe is as soon as the pump clicks off on the filler pump I don\'t continue filling to over full. Don\'t know if I need to do this but I do it as habit now, always have on all cars. HTH

Hi John,
Kind of proves my point though, the RX7 FD3s has a fuel tank capacity of 76 liters, so when you fill up there are still 16 liters of fuel in the tank.

John, thanks but I choose not to use ReWorx.
Why is it that with the 044 in tank people have issues around 1/4 then? Does it really drink that much juice?
I do think the level sender arm was bent or tweaked when the ump was installed, but that was a couple of years ago now. I could always just buy another unit.
Fish
I think the SARD pump is the same as the supra tt pump which we run in our car and we have no problems what so ever running down to the red light on track, although it is best to avoid going too low if possible.
