Well, the gather of bits has started already! As I like my car like me... Simple ;) I\'m thinking that I\'m probably going to slowly collect the bits I need to "go single".
Not after big power, just something that spools quickly and is track friendly and after reading what you guys say, a T04E sounded like it\'d suit my requirements, no porting needed, decent spool times and a bit more than stock power :D
But I\'m new to all this turbo lark, so a couple of bits of advice, does this sound like an OK spec?
A/R .60
3" O/D INLET 2" O/D OUTLET
TURBINE
T3 FLANGE
A/R .63
3" V BAND FLANGE
GARRETT INTERNALS.
Apparently good for "upto" 475 bhp but somehow doubt that ;)
Oh, it has no wastegate so I\'d need an external one...
...So what I\'d need now is an ECU, External Wastegate, Exhaust manifold, downpipe, BOV and all the plumbing... Oh and a boost controller for the wastegate right?
Anything I\'m missing?
And I assume a downpipe will have an inlet for the wastegate as well right? Or is it just worth seeing a exhaust place to get one made up?
Cheers,
Mark
You may struggle to find a manifold to suit a T3 flange.
Other than that, the tub sounds like it will do what you want for sure, can you confirm the hotside A/R ?
You might want to look at the fueling:wiggle
What kind of power can stock fueling cope with? Shouldn\'t really be needing more than 300 at the fly TBH...
It\'s a 57 trim, and says it\'s a A/R .63...
Erm... This is the full specs:
Super T04E Compressor Specs
A/R .60
76mm (3") O/D inlet, 44mm (2") O/D outlet
Inducer- 56.64mm/ 2.23"
Major- 81.29mm/ 3.200"
Super T04E size- 57 Trim
Flows- 700cfm 49 lbs/min
T3 Turbine Specs
A/R .63
T3 split Flange Inlet, 3 V-Band outlet
Major- 74.21/ 2.922"
Exducer- 58.41mm/ 2.296"
Uprated Stage III turbine
But this stuff still doesn\'t mean too mcuh to me just yet ;) But it was £100 new so thought I\'d just go for it! :D
But that\'s a bummer about the T3 flange... I thought they were the same as a T4... D\'oh! Although Hayward and Scott are just round the corer from me so they may be able to help.
I ran out of fuel on stock twins @290 rwhp 6krpm
Then I uprated the fuelling.
I can\'t decipher from that spec what the hotside a/r is
Someone else will come along and help out
