Title: Max boost on stock twins?
Post by: Jim_rx7 on March 17, 2007, 06:22:29 PM
With most other turbo\'d cars you can usually up the boost once you have a decent exhaust and induction kit. Fair enough you would prob need to fit a FCD also.

Is this the same story with the rx7? Can you up the boost once exhaust/filter? Or does it need Apexi PFC and remapped due to the engine being a sensitive beasty?

I think the safe limit is 12psi. Could be wrong though??

12psi seems a little low does it not? Considering 10psi is stock?

I think the standard is 0.9 psi without water injection.

But I wouldnt recommend it without getting a power fc and mapping the car properly !!

Over a bar they start to make more heat than power - and **** themselves sooner rather than later :-/
