Post by: interloper393 on March 16, 2007, 07:59:53 PM
K iv sat my boost gauge bloody everywhere and it look naff so im making a custom holder to sit right in the corner.. right there where the arrows pointing lol

The gauge will sit back a bit more but the angles perfect for driving as its in perfecto view :D

Due to it being such a weird shape, best way was to make an exact mould of the s:rolleyes:
Came out like this..

Make sure you can still see onto roundabouts; personally I hate stuff around the A-pillar :(

I know that there was one of those available a while ago. Miguel@Newera has one on his car. That sits between the dash and apillar.. looks very good and is not in the way.. But is discontinued I think. :(

Few updated pics, the pod sits perfect in the gap, just needs a final sand down, final coulour and a few coats of clear.. the way it sits in mean the wires wont be seen at all.. very kewl :mmmm

your a dab hand with that fibreglass stuff arent you.

you must have definatley been a keen blue peter watcher when you were younger.

so do you do your own spraying then?

what is the finish like?  after spraying yourself, without a proper booth etc

I`ll say 50-50 on the finish, some times its perfect other not so good, all you need to do is colour sand and polish back up.. doddlle :)

quite hard to make but cn give it a go? what gauge size we`r you thinking bud.. mine was made with the bracket that came with the gauge, best way to get a perfect circle for the face to sit into.. does your gauge have this?
