Is anyone using one, I have a couple of questions...
1 - What do I need to get - is it as simple as just buying a quick release hub (and possibly a Momo hub conversion) or would that be making it far too simple :p
2 - Is it easy to fit said hub if thats all I need?
3 - Do I need a special wheel, or do they come off at the hub itself
3 - Does the horn still work, or would I need to wire it to a button
Cheers

the answers depend on the kit you get there are basically two one cheap, one more expensive. so the answers are
1. cheap kit is WELD on to steering column, other kit bolts to aftermarket steering hub.
2.yep it is that easy. take off old wheel (can be a shite to get off though), put on new hub assembly put on quick release adaptor bolt on steering wheel.
3. the kit you buy (either kit is like this) has two halves one male, one female and they lock together various methods are used the more expensive kit is better engineered
4.cheap kit no horn, more expensive kit does use horn button comes with all wiring needed to complete job.
Cheap kit around £40 from rally design etc
More expensive kit made by Raid i think is about £90-£100
the rally design kit is good for race cars but is not so hot on the road, no locking mechanism to stop you taking the wheel off whilst driving along so a little dodgy.
Well, on my first FD i had the raid snap off boss with a momo steering wheel. Worked find.
BUT on my second FD i tried to do the same, but was unable to buy the boss as the original manufacturer had gone bust. They had been taken over but they did not produce them for the FD anymore :o(
If you have any luck, let me know.

OK armed with a Demon Tweeks catalog, I have found these two option...
http://www.spa-direct.co.uk/steeringquickrelease/steeringquickrelease.htm
The thing I dont understand here is the different hub and spleen sizes, and still how it attaches to the car.
or the Sparco (who dont seem to have a UK site)
http://www.sparcousa.com/psteering_acc.asp?id=404
I still dont see how it attaches, but it says it bolts.
I already have a Momo wheel, so my life should be a bit easier. Could someone give me some more guidance here, as im afriad to say I dont quite get it still!
Cheers

Bump!
Can anyone advise me if either of these are ok. I really do want to get one as getting out the car is a real difficulty!
(Plus I havnt wasted any money on it this year yet)
Thanks
Lee
the snap-off type uns are easily attached/detached in seconds with 2 spring loaded pins/bolts as i recall & they are rather funky even if u get sum strange looks walking away with the steering wheel tucked under yer arm ;) not sure on hubs etc so like most things i\'ll plead ignorance! lol
