Title: Question re induction kit
Post by: gmogle on March 11, 2007, 11:01:42 PM
Hi Guys,

I have an HKS Racing Suction kit and having problems getting it to fit with a scoot style bonnet. Basically the mushroom cone is too wide and cant go lower because the lower pipe is mounted solid.

So this was what I came up with as a suggestion...will this cause a problem ? Will I notice any difference ?

If you mean you have wriggled the mushroom a couple of inches down the hard pipe, you wont notice any difference.

You could put a 45 degree elbow and aim the mushroom down?

Sorry the mushroom being held should be connected to where the blue hose is.

Does that make it clearer.

So its about 1 1/2 feet extra length over the original.

Well, since the intake now gets further away from the hot engine I would think that this is actually better.

But I\'m sure someone could explain this better, or even say that it\'s wrong.

True

Its not a massive distance and the turbos will have no trouble drawing air, if fact the near the front and maybe down near an inlet you will get a better cold air flow, or up towards a vent in the bonnet for fresh air.
