Title: Car insurers that are alright with cages / half cages
Post by: John_Hudson on March 11, 2007, 01:21:49 PM
Has anyone had any luck insuring their car with a half cage?  or even full cage. Every time I tell them ( churchill etc) I have one they sh*t a brick and run a mile. So its an insurers that can deal with a cage & agreed value is what im really after, I tried AON but i need a daily drive for that..  Nightmare! ;)

(( oops, sorry posted in wrong section. ))

Sorry slightly off point but what do you mean by this comment? To get insured by AON you need to have a daily drive as well as the rex?? Or you have to use the rex as your daily drive??
Have you tried Adrian Flux for insurance?

When i phoned AON and enquired about insurance with the club discount they stated that they could only do it if i had a 2nd car as a daily drive.

I walk to work so i dont really need a car very often, and id rather not have to buy another car just to get insured.

Try Houghton Insurance, they may be able to help. Not sure if they have gone 30+ though for fully comp.

More to do with you feeling safer your more likely to push the car harder and more likely to crash !

aah, fairy nuff...

I quite like the look of a good cage, so was tempted to try and pick one up... have no intention of doing any heavy track use..
