Does anybody know of a good RX7 mechanic in the yorkshire region or anybody who is clued up on ECU\'s and the electrics side ?

Care to be a bit more explicit with the problem, there\'s a few of us over this way have a pool of knowledge between us. Your nearest garage is WGT over in Cheshire.

Cheers Kev, yeah posted my problem on the lthread above this one, need the compression checking first i think then possibly somebody checking out the knight sports ECU to see if averything is in working order

Comp tests wont be a problem, but K/Sport ECU are not programmable and dont know of anyone able to read them.

Yeah i think i\'m gonna get the car over to Pip at WGT auto\'s and see whats going on, time to get a bigger loan i recon :(

my advice would be to take it easy on the boost and throttle until you\'ve had that ECU looked at. It will be mapped for jap fuel, so it may run lean over here and timing may be advanced. Last thing you want is a detonation and a blown engine because your ECU map is unsuitable.

...and then purchase an Apexi ECU, which is mappable.
