Title: Air con re-gas
Post by: supson on March 08, 2007, 03:02:44 PM
All

I need a re-gas on my air con system as it all leaked out whilst in winter storage. However, the chap who came to do it said that it can only be filled up with a gas that has now been banned (CFCs I guess), and that the air con system would need a conversion to the new type of gas. Has anybody heard of this before???? It sounds expensive.

Thanks in advance
Steve

I beleive older cars (r12) had a different nossle, the standard now is r13a I htink which has a differnet filler nossle... It\'ll cost some money (havn\'t a clue how much) to get it converted but some of the labour is done if it\'s empty ;)
