Title: 1992 Mazda RX-7 FD Series 6 wanted for a shoot with Microsoft
Post by: clive on March 07, 2007, 09:21:19 AM
Hi, my name is Jeff McCrory and I represent Microsoft Game Studios . We are currently working on a new game that will feature the 1992 Mazda RX-7 FD Series 6. Our goal for this game is to represent the car in its original state. In order to achieve this we will need some help, which is why I have emailed your organization. Do any of your members own a 1992 Mazda RX-7 FD Series 6 with the exterior and interior in good original condition that we could gain access to for a photograph session? The photographs that we take would be used for reference only, in order to create a 3D digital model that will eventually be placed in a video game.

I appreciate any help that you and your organization could provide.

Kind regards,
Jeff McCrory

Anyone with a car that conforms with the above and wants to do this please e-mail team@mazdarotaryclub..com

I thought all that kind of stuff was 3D scanned nowadays rather than modelling from reference.

If 3D scanning is needed i do it for a living as well as the surfacing and modeling. just done some Honda\'s and have done lotus in the past as well as many, many other road cars, prototypes and F1.

can give you company details if needed and could sort something out I\'m sure.

Also have a standard 1992 type x apart from exhaust (which i hope to get back to standard soon), two birds one stone.

Also have a standard scale model which would be easier and quicker to scan and then scale up.

Out of interest, what company do you work for? I\'m at Sony Cambridge so always good to know who is about in these areas...
