Depends on the brand you bought. They all have different boiling points. I have used ATE Racing Blue without any problems.

yeah, I’ve been using it for about 8 years in various cars without any probs - just make sure you don’t pick up DOT5 by mistake!

I would have thought most brands will have a higher boiling point than a DOT4

Like all oils its down to personal choice i use AP Racings fluid and as for capacity its more a case of how much do you want to use flushing and bleeding the system.

I thought 5.1 had to be changed a lot more regularly than 4 or 5? like every six months as opposed to every two years... or am i thinking of something else?

If budget wasnt an issue then Castrol SRF would be my choice, but I cant justify the extra cost when there are as good brands about cheaper.

Castrol SRF is awesome....yes its not cheap, but it is very very consistent, dry and wet boiling points are not far from each other either.

we used to use SRF on all the historic race cars that i used to run in TGP, Grandprix masters, Euroboss etc, F1\'s like mclaren M26, Heskith 308e,  more modern arrows Fa14, F3000\'s, F5000\'s.  it is the b*****ks.
i am going to put it in the rex when i do my brakes.  why not it will be fun, be it costly.  i spoke to someone about it and they reconed on a road car, you prob wouldnt need to change it more than every 10-12 months.
