Title: O rings???
Post by: Nuk Su Kow on March 05, 2007, 09:29:21 AM
Just a quickie gents.

Got a set of wheels, they are right offset, size the lot for the rex, however i\'ve been told to get some O\'rings for them.

Are there universal O\'rings? or do I have to go back to the original company??

Cheers

the spiggot rings you need depend on the original centre bore of the wheels and the centre bore on the FD hubs....phone around some of the wheel manufacturers with this information (the centrebore of the wheel should be stamped on them somewhere) and the FD centrebore is....er anyones guess lol.
I personally dont use spiggot rings.

many thanks for the quick reply :god

I only ask as I took the car down to elite to get it 3D tracked, wheels balanced etc and they told me without the center rings the wheels would be going up and down??

yeah they probably will have a bit of play in them, but i think the nuts should be enough when tightened against the wheel properly. Im surprised elite didnt have the spiggot rings themselves seeing as they push enough wheels thru the place!
Ive got a few spiggot rings lying around so if you can tell me what size you need, i might be able to help

I did ask them but it was getting close to shutting up and don\'t think they could be too bothered to hunt around for them....

Many thanks, i\'ll have a look tonight and will get back to you?
(I didn\'t think it was a majoy problem either, i\'ve never had to do it before :chat )
