Title: Another alarm question!!
Post by: croig on March 04, 2007, 11:25:03 AM
Hi!
After reading/hearing all the stories about alarms on FDs im concerened about where to get one fitted and what make to get.
Are some alarms more \'friendly\' for the FD or is it just the size of the cable from the ignition coil?

If anyone could recomend a fitter thats had experience with FDs in or around the Northants/Leicster/Bedford/Peterboro areas?

Cheers
Craig

Had this guy supply and fit into my car and he was superb! It was a Toad Ai606
EBay item number : 140089551624

Had knowledge of RX\'s and he also changed all the wires to thicker gauge.

He arrived earlier than promised, and did a first class job. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

£220 fully fitted (depending where you are) complete with a approved installers certificate (required by insurance).

Just gave Kevin Harding a ring - he recommended the Viper 460 over the Toad alarm......says the cabling is thicker & better on Viper and it\'s easier to add other modules. Not fussed on addional bells & whistles but better cabling sounds good.

Anyone any experience with Viper alarms.....any good?

Cheers:)

Just had that exact alarm fitted by that exact guy... hasn\'t been a problem so far, all seems perfect i must say! showed me the wire on it too, much thicker than that of the toads...
