Title: Questions Reguard Insuraing a Rex
Post by: leon on March 02, 2007, 03:07:07 PM
Hi guys looking at buying a rex got a nice black one spotted - (not telling!) the car itself seems sweet as a nut sadly wont beable to get a compression test done so its a little gamble. recently imported from jappan.

what im wondering is:
When getitng the insurance quote how do i describe it the experian says its a 1.3 litre! wich i think is wrong arnt they 2.6 (1.3 per rotor).

I Told the guy the following: Its a 94 Rx-7 2.6litre twin turbo its described as a coupe in black the guy came back with information as well as suplying the veh\'s registration. is this enough infomration for them to guarantee the thing is correct as i was quote £54 extra on my current insurance to change over to it! :rollin

Cheers ;)

Edit- also Mentioned that it was non modified and confmed that it is an import "twin turbo"

i Would NEVER go with flux again (unless they came up with an outstanding offer) i had an issue last time wich basicaly ment i was out of 1.5k money for 2 months while they faffed around refunding me. but yeah ill give Aplan a try tonight :) after i have a good read of the cars docs etc to see if i like the looks of her. - Just gotta make sure its with the mind and not the heart this decision :D

But seriously is there anything else i need to make sure i mention to make sure i get a correct qote?

Im pleased with the quote happy in the knowledge it will go down later in the year ;) - but the quote its self is good considering i was paying more than that on a N/A a few years ago - that said i dont seem to keep cars long enough before wanting more to reep the rewards! maybe this time..... :2Rolleyes
