Title: Aon classic car the cheapest!!!
Post by: Mb3d on February 28, 2007, 08:56:26 AM
Spent the whole day trying to find insurance for the RX(import) and Aon was by far the cheapest, £369 fully comp, 5000 miles per year, aged 34 and wife on the policy aswell. Whats the chances of doing 5000 miles before it blows a seal anyway.....lol

That\'s pretty good - what kind of excess do you have on the policy?

Actually I just insured my FD via A-Plan - 395 fc for 10k/year as the main car :)

Interesting - before I asked RoTechniks to build me the FD, I talked to Sureterm (the vert is insured with them) and they said they\'d be happy to insure me on a mildly modified FD.

When I called them back last month to see what they\'d quote me, they said they couldn\'t quote me on an FD at all because of the mods?

Nevertheless they did me a really good deal on the vert after a bit of haggling :D

Im with aon. Im 26 and think mine was around £590 all mods declared. However at the time I was told they would no longer insure anyone under 30 with performance modifications. I only have a backbox plus body mods so I squeezed through..
If they are not going to insure anyone under 30 anymore maybe mrc should look for club discount from a company who can? I make use of my perks as a member, so it would be a shame to loose this one at renewal!

Title: mild mods
Post by: Eddie on March 03, 2007, 09:18:42 PM
I think mine would be classed as mild mods
Trust FMIC
ally rad
Apexi filters
Power FC, HKS down no cat and super dragger zaust

Kit, tints, scoot bonnet, 19 inch wheels, lowered, and a few other things

Nothing too major and had no problems for them to insure me for another year.

cheers
