Title: Water Seal Kit Contents
Post by: Jit on February 27, 2007, 01:05:54 PM
Hi,

does anyhow here know the exact contents of the water seal kit as I have a few o-rings left over that dont obviously go into the engine...

Ive managed to identify the oil meteringpump o-ring and the oil filter base o rings but does any one kow what the others are?

I have rebuilt an Engine before (when i buggered it up) using a OEM O ring kit and a Lower Inlet Gasket.

Be carfull which O ring kit you get as there is one thats just the Waterseals (so i belive)

M4drx, its only Worring if you have a Water seal, Dowl pin seal or Front cover Washer left over.

errr...well like i say, one looks like an OMP o-ring, another is defintely the oil filter base o-rings and the others are ust small o-rings which are smaller than the oil filter base ones...

Ahh ok, I take it you bought the Front cover gasket/Washer separately, I\'m just mid rebuild at the Mo and as you say there does tend to be a lot thats not used. So i\'m thinking about buying just the Stuff i need.

How do you find Super7? are they good to deal with?

yeah the gasket was separate off memory. I think itll work out the same really as water seals alone are fairly expensive!
Super7 are really good to deal with....mention my name to Jason. His prices are pretty good as well....i think when i worked it out it was the equivalent of rx motors pricing except minus the vat! hence why i chose them....jasons v helpful as well!
