Title: Now be Honest here!
Post by: normski on February 27, 2007, 07:54:26 AM
Jono has done one of his numbers on the REX! Come up with a design, and it’s done. I know at the end of the day, as it’s my car, it’s down to me, I accept that bit. But!!! I am interested in what you all think. If you think it’s crap please say so, I know you would anyway, but equally so if you like I wanna hear your opinions on it. Pics should be through to day so and will post the link up. Just interested as one or two who have seen it don’t like it. :2eek  By the way! this in no way implicates our friend Jono he is just doing his job. I am only interested in what others think. Just to make that bit clear! It\'s a personal choice thing!

Send the pics over and I\'ll put them up. Just remember that everyone is different, so tastes vary. So long as you like, screw the rest. ;)

They\'re not bad at all, at the start of this thread it sounded like they\'d be really shocking.  I like them.

Post by: normski on February 27, 2007, 04:54:20 PM
Well Jono, I think they very good. And you know, it grows on you. the more you look at it.  SO no problem from my side of things. But as you say, it\'s interesting to find other point of view. It\'s subtle, I recon people will say they love it or hate it. I notice my bloody bonnet is not on the car. Nothing to do with you. But! WHy I wonder.

What do think of the car anyway?

thanks Norm. Good job. :Thumbsup!

Looking good to me.

Norm, you kick ass dude, that 3 rotor baby has got to be some seriously good fun.  The graphics look sweet, not OTT but it shows you mean business !

Post by: normski on February 27, 2007, 05:25:24 PM
I think this year I shall fly back before LeMans pick the car up and do Rotostock 07. If I can find somewhere to store the car for a few weeks, camp out for a couple of days. NO DRAG STRP . Don\'t wanna blow it up. !!!! :cool Join in the fun a bit.

don\'t generally dig on graphics but they\'re subtle enough to look pretty nice. Track cars can get away with it more too.

From a personal perspective I would just change that Veilside CII bumper, they\'re just too battlestar galactica for my liking.

Can\'t fault the quality of the work judging from those pics, but graphics on the side of a car aren\'t my thing at all. Also not a fan of the body kit (veilside??) either.

You mean change the Veilside C1 to the new CII.......... but I do agree with you..... although the CII looks alot better than this one in my opinion!!

another good job jono, i really like this car (was drulling over it at pips a few weeks back) and the graphics suit it. The only thing is the rotors are abit bold !

They work well with the cars colour. Not to in your face.

That looks amazing !!!

Loving the graphics, they are nice and subtle against the paintwork !!

Not keen on the headlights though.

Also make sure you take the paper off the right hand side of that car lol

Very nice though !!!

I like it too. The things i would change would be the headlamps back to popups and the veilside front bumper.

seen the car many times as have had to go to wgt fair few times of late.  like the graphics, nice and subtle.

i do agree with others though.  i love the car, but the headlights and front bumper dont do the car any justice at all.

Jono that sucks!!!!

Only joking :Laugh very good, nice and subtle! The car looks better in the flesh, a cII isn\'t aggressive enough looking for a car with massive power like that although cII is a better looking bumper!

Think the graphics are smokin! I had a set of anthracite graphs on my last car with flecs of gold in them, again subtle like yours but think about it.......
Rx-7\'s arn\'t exactly subtle cars and what with that kit on it, it\'s going to stand out whever it goes! :wave

Love that body-kit......:Thumbs-up

Loving the 3 rotor graphics (bloody show off :Giggle )

More importantly I would like to be the first to offer you a place for storage before Rotorstock.

Sales pitch:

Alarmed Garage with brick built construction for security (I also have shotguns)
Air dehumidifier for a nice place for your rex to stay.
You can have a key so that you can have a go in it whenever you are back.
I\'m a Driving Instructor so your car will be in safe hands when I take it out to stetch it\'s legs so that nothing seizes.
I hope you will make the right decision with this as you have with the graphics :D :cool

Thats appears to be a nice idea: ONE BIG problem. (your car will be in safe hands when I take it out to stetch it\'s legs so that nothing seizes.) Nothing against your driving. But I would be looking to lock it up and leave it. Anyway it would only be for about 7 or 8 weeks. :Typing

2 things I personally dont like:
The wing
The graphics (I dont understand the point in graphics)

Great colour, nifty looking kit, lovely wheels, good stuff !
Title: Now be Honest here!
Post by: clandestine on February 28, 2007, 03:05:00 PM
The point in graphics is the same point as having personalised registration plates or any modifications really that make the car more like you and less like everyone else!

What is there to understand?
Title: Now be Honest here!
Post by: RobPhobos on February 28, 2007, 03:07:29 PM
I dont understand why people like them.
Its just a personal preference, I really dont like them.
Title: That not a problem
Post by: normski on February 28, 2007, 04:59:26 PM
It\'s right it\'s down to personal choice. But as said anyone who don\'t like them, thats also fine, I respect that to. Lets face it if we all liked the same thing what crap World it would be. It\'s just interesting to hear peoples comments. For me the best was the battlestar one, still makes me laugh!:wiggle

I don\'t know on this one, is quite nice, in it\'s own way, if you know what I mean. The wheels are bit too loud for me. But for a track car, you can get away with it. Just wear sun glasses when you look at it. :WaveBye

Hi guys,

Loving the car even more now Norm!

The car you refer to above is Ben Linney from GT Culture\'s.  Its built to compete and to show the kind of stuff they offer.  They used to mainly import cars, however I think are expanding their services now (?).

Its a bit mad!

Love the colour (s).
Graphics are pretty cool.
Wheels are great.
Never liked those Veilside front ends though.
All in all, looks the business though.
Title: That colour
Post by: normski on March 04, 2007, 08:34:09 AM
The colour which everyone is on about is Based on a Harley Silver ( with a twist) Not cheap! I believe it\'s only RE7 with that colour in existance. They actually called it Nemesis Siver. I think there is about 5  or 6 cars only with the same mix. 350Z, an Evo, and one or two otheres. Anyway Nemasis does not exist anymore. But it\'s possible to mix that paint up. Ask Pip, He knows the Colour codes ext! If your interested of course.:2eek

not sure about the front bumper but the rest is looking good, not a big fan of graphics on a car but you\'ve pulled it off and does look good an orignal design i think
