Ok guys and gals, I know that many insurance companies dont list rx7\'s. never mind uk models but i was speaking to luke from adrian flux who knows a bit about the subject. And i managed to confuse us both. On my V5 my car which is a 1992 FD is registered as a 2616 coupe and on the insurance books theres a 2616 turbo coupe for 1993 on ward and a 24** (i forget the numbers but around 2.4) rx-7 1992-1995 it\'s my understanding that this is an FC but wasn\'t the final production of the FC in 1992?:3Confused
Any way i got a quote on the 2.4 thing and it was cheap, too good to be true kind of cheap. now i know that my insurance would be void if it was not the correct model so im not going to take out the policy but i REALLY want to.:Grrr
My question is what model is this 2.4 1992-1995 rx7 refering to could i get my v5 reclassified to 2.4 so i could take that policy?
Thanks for any help im pretty sure i know what the answers will be but it really was cheap!
bump.................................
u will never beat the system its a 2.6 and allways will be and any other declaration will void ur insurance.dont waste time and energy u willhave to pay the premium these cars demand and theres no way round it
I know mate ive bit the bullet like every one else and paid up:( but im just wondering what car that is. it\'s starting to annoy me!!! it\'s probably just a typo but a few seperate insurance companies have it on the books.
I think the 2.4 was the turbo 2 1989 to 1992 FC3 model. I had one for a couple of years and the insurance was a lot cheaper than the FD3S which is 2.6.
Hope this helps
It\'s 2345cc and yeah relates to an FC however I think the insurance database is just screwed up and it\'s there to wind owners of FD\'s up :P
G
2354cc is FC 2616cc is FD.
Your right about the insurance being screwed up - I had to ask mine to be checked and double checked to make sure it would be ok. Some of the companies I spoke to even had 2354cc Twin Turbo for the FC! :Hammer
