Title: 4 rotor costs?
Post by: McCARTHY on February 25, 2007, 04:11:33 PM
Hey guys just wondering if anyone has any idea of how much it costs to build a 4 rotor lump? just the main engine? housings, rotors, E shaft, plates etc?
I sent carl a mail a while back but never saw a responce (which is very inlike carl usually very quick at respnding).

cheers

How big is your wallet ????? I\'d have a look on ausrotary and on rx7club for some info. Theres a kiwi comapny that makes the E-shaft. Other than that isn\'t it basically two 13bs put together with some serious mods for supporting the E-shaft at every middle plate ?

Pm Glen he had a Brake down of the Componat costs (well a while back)

It all depends on how you want to run the it (ports) P/P is the Easyest way to go but adds cost to get them done properly, a while ago a guy in AU built a Triple using 12a parts that ran the side ports, which ever way its done you will still need Custom manifolds. The fab work is where the price realy starts to silly.

I had my E-shaft/Plate mod/Bolts etc done by a Guy at Precision Engineering in NZ, he makes the Bits but does\'nt build the engines.

no reason why not. Though for track racing yuo would have to move the engine and gearbox back thus cutting the bulk head. But how awsome it would be
