I\'m in Kilburn, but haven\'t had an MOT done there yet.  My car has sailed through 2 so far with full decat exhaust system, no probs at all.  What year is your car ?

I cant guarantee how they will be on any given day, but the last time I took my Integra down to Hatch End Motor Company, lets just say they were one of the more lenient testers ive found!

i found one that went , its a 92 right.........half way through 92 is when a emission test was required or something...   they just said, 92 is fine, dont need the exact date (31/12/92)..    and they put it through.  it was fairly standard then, i am hoping they can blag it again this time round.  i have become a bit matey with the guy, so its all good.

If it\'s Jap Import pre 95 you don\'t need a cat test :D

I thought that law was only applicable if there was no English equivalent?

I know for an MR-2 Turbo there is no need for a cat test on them for ones upto July 1995 as there is no English equivalent.

.....But the RX7 twin turbo was made over here too, so surely that means anything after 1992 (K) is required to take a cat test???

Well when I last got a ticket I was told it was a non cat test.

Thames valley MOT\'s //www.tvmot.com are known to be RX7 friendly

No cat test is needed for pre 95 cars that are not wearing a cat.
The MOT tester right next door to My tuning shop are very good.

if no import then I should think cat applies.  If the car originally had a cat, you would want one for the test
