Hi Gareth,
congrats on joining the club ! Be sure to do a little research on these cars, lots useful info on here. You would we well off buying a single turbo FD already converted, with a recent rebuild. Then you have a very fast car nicely modded to save you money in the long term.
Oh, and coming from a Scooby, you will NOT be disappointed !
check out the cars for sale on here http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=127
Hello and welcome to the club. Must say you have done the right thing getting rid of that scoob:2Confused
There are a few very nice cars for sale on here at the moment and one wide arch (which must be said is very rare)
And your budget of 10k will see you getting a very good example.
Edit; ^lol, beat me to it
Welcome to the club and check out the stickies in this section very useful.
Don\'t buy with your heart buy with your head and sample a few of them, there is a big difference between a good one and a bad one.
All the best with your search.
Oh and if you don\'t know much about the RX yet you can buy mine for £10000 Twin Turbo (so therefore better than just a single turbo as 2 of them) and no rebuild (as rebuilt engines are less reliable) :Giggle
Bargin!

was lookin at this one
lol - do a search for hurley engineering in this forum !
See that looks nice.
But IMHO that seams quite a lot of money for a \'95 standard engined car.
I have had no dealings with hurley myself (who have rebuilt this car\'s engine) but do a search on here and come to your own conclusion.
For £10k if you do want a powerful car go for the single route or at least try both single and twin to decide which you prefer driving.
Depends what you want it for I guess this 1 looks like it will have all the show so if that\'s what you\'re after happy days:Thumbs-up
Oh and the ABS light is on ????
im after both really the show feature ant the power my scooby was the same stood out from the crowd and had the speed will post pic up!!!

I\'m a little lost for words :2eek
Well a standard Rx-7 would be as quick actually so that\'s that covered and to make a Rx-7 look anything like that could you not just buy a cheaper one and modify the outside to your own taste for less?
lost for words as it looks wank and chavvy or looks differant lol
like sed really wouldnt mind a wide arch 1 jus seem to have been lookin for ages now mus have been a good 7 week!!!
scooby run 13.2 quarter mile
Never mind the hairdryer powered cars, there are some real good Old School Rx7\'s on the market for a fraction of the cost AND they are better head turners, sexy, good bhp and I have to add.......only real men are able to drive them !!!!!!:D :Thumbsup! :god :Typing
so where are other places i can look for them apart from stated above and magazines
The thread \'Old School Meet\' page 5 has a pic of the best available at the mo,also search the 1st Gens for sale ..........:Thumbsup!
Oh have a look at this sort of thing :Thumbs-up

Hi Gareth,
Welcome to the club. I am sure I have seen your car around before, live round the corner from Rochdale. Drop me a line if you want to go for a blast in a RX7 and get a feel for the car. [email]/email]
Anyway for a budget of £10K you can get a decent single turbo car for that kind of money. Also, I would say to try and buy from the forum as the cars are generally looked after.
Good luck.
:)
Sorry but as of 1/3/06 non-members are now not allowed to post their e-mail address due to a decision made at the AGM by our members unless they are selling in the for sale section
save yourself £500 and buy mine. :cool
Hi, mate and welcome.:wave
First of all go for a full members car for sale on here.
Go to that members name and get there details up, then click on all there posts and see what questions/problems they have had with the car and how they have solved them.
Get one with a re-built engine.
I am not going to comment on Hurley except that they are 20 miles from me but I only have work done on my car by RE:WORX, round trip 260 miles.
Take from that what you will.
If you need any hints and tips then feel free to call me on 07771882430.
I am not a dealer.
For 10k you can get a real killer. HTH.:wave
Oh and I have organised 3 dates for the PRODRIVE tour ( Her Royal Sowness works there ) later this year, still spaces on the last date if you are interested.
Posted by His Royal Hoggness.
Look an easy example http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34900
This person has given comp/test details from Pip at WGT ( The only other place I would go to ) 7\'s all round are good readings.
With something like this you could get used to driving it and how she handles and spend the rest of your money on going single and bling. Just an example.
Have you bought 1 in the end Gareth? Hoping for pics if you have :Thumbs-up
