suprised i realised i was 30 as i only turned(30 that is) on 2nd feb.
what has suprised me is all these 20yo lads paying less than £2k on a group 20 car:yes :rollin .when i was 20 they wouldnt insure me on a nova gsi!!! well aslong as its under £1000 i will take it.gonna be getting a cheap diesel 306 as an everyday/work car and just use the 7 on weekends and for the odd drive about so will be less than 6k miles a year.maybe i ought to clean the garage out

my mate has a sagarris-its amazing.he had a tuscan s before and that was leathal.i drove his sag a day after the tuscan and the sag is so much easier to drive and so much better-i totally envy you fella although the sag is going to make way for an 430 grrrr hate rich friends

did you abandon the project about the time you got the rex by any chance?:D
wonder what sort of extra price they charge for mods on engine/bodywork/suspension/wheels ect.

I am pretty much the same details as you.

I got my best quotes from A-Plan and Sky insurance.

I went with Sky as they gave an agreed value for an extra £35 or £25.

If you have a runaround, put the rex on a classic policy.  Try Heritage 08453734774

92 FD Insured with AON and a Classic Car - Modern Classics.
Live in Telford, Shropshire and kept in Garage.
Previous cars Porsche Boxster (so I can\'t see that helping unless they think I drive like a hairdresser to have owned such a car! :D )
I\'m a Driving Instructor but again can\'t see this having a massive influence.
Give them a bell and quote MRC:

Cheers

If you\'re happy, I\'m happy that\'s what it is all about.
Also before confirming Insurance go through most of the Insurance Companies listed in this section they should be a good place to see.
All the best with it :cheers

maybe i sghould be trying them too to see if they are cheaper than aon.the quote i got from aol was for a fully standard car as i havnt got one yet so couldnt list any mods or anything

I\'m sure they all vary depending on your postcode, mods and who you are. I\'ve been with aon for a few years straight now, so their quotes aren\'t as competitive as other companies where I\'m a new client. They knocked 75 quid off as soon as I called and mentioned I\'d had a better quote! No questions asked, but still not good enough. The Mrc sub has more than payed off, and Norton wouldn\'t allow the wife to drive the car either. Result :cheers

that is a result.my gf drives a ford focus 1.6 badly so she aint getting anywhere near the drivers seat of this unless i have the keys or its up on axle stands:D
what happens with aon if you go over the 5000mile limit?have never had a limited mileage policy so not sure how it works.do they allow you to do track days and be covered for extra cost?

cheers rich

Give them a call about the trackday insurance. I believe if you think you\'re going to exceed the max milage, you call them and they charge you more money to drive your car past 5000 miles :D If you don\'t let them know and you go over 5k, then I suppose it voids your insurance should you need it.
