Title: V Mounts
Post by: jetpilot on February 15, 2007, 12:55:37 PM
Hi guys, another question regarding v mounts. If your running a large intercooler, where have you located AST\'s and perhaps where have you have fitted air filter. Photo\'s appreciated!

Located mine just below the filler neck, and in between the I/C and the pulleys.

Thanks buddy, any more guys, just looking for ideas! I take it the AST doesnt have to be at a particular height, i mean it could be lower or higher than the filler neck?

Removed AST altogether. Couldn\'t be bothered with it.

I have decided to loose mine as it seems a popular mod to do.

That ast is too high.
It should be below the filler.
VERY pretty engine bay though!

Theres a sticky in the techinal section with links as to how to do this! Seems there are 2 ways, both involve getting a filler neck from an FC for the overflow and then either, connect the hose from the bottom of the rad to one from the lower part under the filler, or just simple plug up both the mention hoses!

I used the filler neck from an FC as described, then connected up the rad pipe to the lower part of the filler neck as this way looks neater in my opinion.
