Does the Apexi also learn boost settings? As well as all the others things when it’s setup, The reason I ask is that when I first ran the car with the boost test 30mph to 70 in 3rd, the car did boost ok going by my boost gauge and on the commander peak was 0.84 but there was no transition at all that I could detect, also the boost gauge flipped right up to it’s maximum very quickly, like driving a single turbo I guess! I’d like to get this right, my boost pressure readings are ==
1 pr 0.80 ks/cm 56%
Sc 0.70 ks/cm 64%
2 pr 0.90 ks/cm 62%
Sc 0.80 ks/cm 70%
i have not altered anything,
Hoping to get it mapped properly soon, and usually potter around without boost at all for now, till iv\'e finnished mods! any info or advice please,
Cheers Bob
Bump! help!:wave
it does have an inbuilt boost controlelr but its not v ery effective at all. I wouldn\'t rely on it.
Depending on your other mods I wouldn\'t trust it to keep boost down to a sensible level without a proper decent boost controller plumbed in.
i had the same but i altered to;
1 pr 0.80 ks/cm 56%
Sc 0.70 ks/cm 64%
2 pr 0.80 ks/cm 62%
Sc 0.70 ks/cm 70%
what you guys think i really want to know properly how this all works. :(
The boost on twin turbo FD\'s running the Apexi can be controlled fine by the ECU,it just like the rest of it needs to be tuned to work well.
I have seen that people keep saying get a boost controller for the stock twin setup, you don\'t need it,the Apexi can and does control the boost well,it just needs to be setup/tuned right.
You can\'t expect the ECU to control boost by just chucking it on the car and hoping for the best,it does not work like that.If you think about it,even a boost controller has to be setup to work right.
