Title: Pics of nicely modded black FD\'s
Post by: D1 WTF on February 12, 2007, 10:38:05 AM
as above i after some pics of nice black FDs, or i suppose dark colour ones.

my plan is/was to put side skirts/ rear spats/ front bumper on my car.  i have bought half of it.  but when my car is clean i think it really does look sweet.  i am no longer convinced i wanna do it.  can anyone sway my mind with a tastfully modded rex?

cheers

Like that a lot...but maybe the rear spats need a lower rear valance in between them...or a diffuser?

Still a very nice subtle Rex...like the front

Yeah, if I still had the car I would remove the rear spats and fit a carbon RE-Amemiya Diffuser! :cool

Subtle Mazda side skirts and rear spats, no rear wiper or spoiler.

Don\'t do it then. Why force yourself?  Also - no rear spoiler can look nice n smooth but there was one put there for a reason and it wasn\'t looks.

mine looks like the last two pics but i am thinking of changing the front to a 99 or similar (not original i know) and just getting the mazda rear spats to match the sideskirts, i would go down the no spoiler road but the hassle of filling and sparying the boot is too much effort for me i think

Actually that is exactly why it is there. The 99 spoiler is functional. The 93 spoiler does NOTHING. http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_1080/article.html

Franky,
Do you have any more pics of your interior looking through the windows? I am contemplating sticking some red buckets in mine, but am worried it might stick out like a sore thumb!
In fact I hope to get my car looking something similar to yours (but enough for it not to be a blatant rip off!) seeing those pics has re-affirmed that the planned body mods are the right thing to do!

M4drx the seats are Type X red leathers.  Haven\'t got any good pictures through the window but just took this pic in the garage to give an idea of how they look.  I think the red and black goes good together, maybe one day i\'ll be able to afford some red Bride or Recaro buckets!

Frankie,
I am considering getting these. Just need to make triple sure they will fit! I think there is a fighting chance! If you want specs and prices then let me know, I got the details off the importer. Although it will pain me to see them in someone else’s car first...

mine has the mazda optional upgrade side skirts etc.
but my thoughts are front bumper (not totally decided, although i have a vanquish one sitting in my bedroom)
C-west side skirts
Veilside rear spats (genuine pair in my bedroom)
mazda speed spoiler (on its way, that is if i decided to use it or not-might go spoilerless)

Thanks for filling in the details freddy, it\'s not my car any more so I was never really that fussed about knowing what the bits were, always been more of an engine modder than a visual modder anyhoo. That car will surface again sometime this year I imagine but from what I can gather I don\'t think anyone will recognise it! (mwah ha ha ha)

Markrx7, the paint was an audi black, or so i was told, it had kind of little metallic speckles in it, but the colour you can see is mostly picked up from the awesome sunset that was going on while I took those pictures. :)

Batmobile steering wheel...I\'m not sure, what are you offering.  I have to admit that I didn\'t really like the steering wheel that I have at the moment but its actually quite comfortable!

What rear bumper is that...its a veilside body kit...amazing as it is but my wife knows more about the car than me...I just like driving it :)

As for more pictures...I need to get a few more particularly when the sun isn\'t shining!

lol - now I know what you mean, I wondered if the steering wheel would have a variety of buttons that when pressed would do stuff like reveal hidden warheads or tell me its dinnertime!

Actually, it took me a while to see your steering wheel.  My eyes were drawn to that huge dial on the dashboard!

As much as I like the idea I think I\'m going to pass on this offer.  It would be useful to have the top part missing as I have to duck a little to see if my indicators are flashing but on the whole it doesn\'t do enough to warrant a change.

I think someone needs to start a new thread with pictures of their interiors.  Yours is fascinating!  You have big round things sticking out all over the place!

Cheers m8, I knew there was a veilside in there some where...I told my wife last night about the batmobile steering wheel and she laughed at me and told me that we have a Nardy (not sure how you spell that) steering wheel and certainly doesn\'t need replacing so...

oh and I found out yesterday that the Tein bit is the suspension and the Exedy is the clutch...one of these fine days I\'m going to surf the internet and find out what is so good about Exedy clutch\'s etc...

Too many people come up to me and say nice car etc and you know that they are expecting a description of the various mods and I\'m embarrassed to say that I nod my head a few times, whisper wow and just walk away :)

The sound, and fire and looks of both cars are awesome.
One says mature.
One says racer.  (in the good sense for the kind of RX im after, track biased)

Both are awesome, I just have to check out a few when I come back in March :)

The Craft Company cars are linked off my blog. Heaps of pics on their blogs.

One has Feed Kit and one has RE-A GT. Recently feed car has done 59.3 at tsukuba.

Scroll down the right side to the RSS Feeds.

The Mid Night car was for sale recently.

They are indeed work vs-ss the older ones were oz split rims, which are going to end up on ebay eventually cos they are cluttering up the garage.

the kit and lights are RE-A, iirc its a 95 JGTC kit and believed to be the only one in the uk
