It\'s on the standard 16" Mazda wheels, I don\'t know if the locking nuts were an option and I\'d be able to get one from a Mazda dealer?
Or am I going to have to crack them off and get new ones?
you will have to crack them off and get new ones, as there will be hundreds of different keys so mazda wont know which one you need (if they are even mazda lockers)
If you can take a picture and put it up it will tell us what type of locking nut it is,
Depending on the type we may be able to either direct you to getting a replacment key or be able to supply you with a removal socket.
Once they are off we can then supply McGard locking wheel nuts as used by Mazda if you wish.
I\'ll probably crack them off TBH... But may grab some of the McGard ones. I don\'t really need locking ones as the standard wheels are unlikely to be stolen and the car is otherwise secure enough ;)
Famours last words eh!
be interesting to know how many combos mazda used for their nuts. Mcguard have about 18000, or so i was told by a distributor. But then ford used to only have 6 different keys!!
I guess they\'re the same as alarms, just a deterrant... If someone really wants them they\'ll take them no problem with the right tools!
Shame really...
Just to make you feel a bit better, I bought my FD with a set of Locking wheel nuts on and no key so i spent ages getting them off and putting a new set on. Yesterday i got a puncture and have lost the Key for the new ones?? I\'m guessing i\'ve thrown it away with the Packing (how dumb is that) so i had to get my Car recovered back to my house becouse i could\'nt get the wheel off :2Rolleyes
Oh, I shouldn\'t laugh... But that is quite funny! I\'m thinking the same thing will happen to me soon, but I think I\'m going to rewire my trailer and then have a crack and getting these feckers off!
