Not sure if this will help but we sold an S/S kit with upper mounts (which we would recommend) to an MRC member this week for £700 inc delivery which really is a group buy type price

We also supply fitting and initial set up instructions with the kit based on our own fitting experience.

The above will depend on how much your mate can get them for.

 Hope this helps

I appreciate the enquiry however we are the other side of the world to you nr Dartford tunnel and it would cost you a fortune in petrol !

Seriously the fitting and set up instructions we supply are pretty idiot proof and any competent DIY guy will be able to follow them.

BTW the discount we gave above including the delivery gives £84 off list.

ok i will see wot my mate can do price wise.  Sorry i assume you just set it up like any other suspension then, i just wasant sure about the EDFC, i thought that might need some specialist setting up

What are super street like once fitted to the car? Are the bumpy etc? Looking to keep a decent setup but not rattle my teeth out and all the screws out my interior anymore.

I fitted my Super Streets w/ Uppermounts last year. Dead easy to fit wih the factory service manual for assistance and a nice bit of kit. I run mine pretty firm (4 clicks off full hard) and they are nice, firm but not bouncy :)

Didn\'t go with the EDFC as they only take a few minutes to adjust with the supplied allen key. I think you\'d have to loose the trim over the rear top mounts to fit the EDFC motors so bear that in mind. The manual mentions this too.

Cheers,
Alex

I think im definetly gona go for the Super Streets when i can afford it, my current ride is very bumpy, makes you need a p*ss every five minutes on a long journey.  Also i live in Somerset and the roads arent the nicest, loads of bumps everyhere, also my car is currently lowered 40mm on 18s so scraps abit on the arches etc.

Ow, far to much info for a monday morning "SmileyCentral.com"

Seriously as said above adjustment is so easy you really don\'t need EDFC

DO get the ones with uppermounts though, because you can\'t simply change to uppermounts later, you have to get new springs as well!!!

I have recently had some tein super street fitted to my car by a garage, which have been set to about stock height and stock dampness.

They never left the instruction manual with me nor the hex key, only the c spanners were left in the car.

Do i need the hex key to adjust the dampness level, i understand there is 16 levels of dampness but how many turns/clicks does it take to go from soft to hard and will it stop turning when it is set to either hard or soft fully.

Also how do i go about adjustting the height of the kit.

The manual says you should turn it full clockwise (i.e. to the hardest setting, I\'m sure mine got to a point it wouldn\'t go any further) then turn it back anti-clockwise 12 clicks to be standard.

does the kit include new bushes??? if so are they rubber or poly?

I\'m not entirely sure cos I had fitted the superstreet originally WITHOUT top mounts, and you have to re-use parts.

Then when I had the top-mounts fitted I was on holiday, so I\'m not entirely sure what comes with it. However looking at the diagram on the back of the manual and rubber bushes for the suspension are included in the set.

been looking to soften mine up,never got allen key/c spanners back when fitted.presume its the round bit under dust cover that alters hardness (has bit in top of it for an allen key ) - dont need an allen key to turn can do by hand - am i wrong here ? under round bit is a hexagonal nut - does this need turning as well :3Confused  is it as easy as this just turn this round thing 8 clicks to soften to standard ?

yeah you should be able to turn the top bit where the allen key bit goes in, its not stiff or anything.

cheers - as simple as that ! doesnt seem to be enough effort to alter damping, checked was full to clockwise then turned back 8 clicks, couldnt believe so easy assumed i was wrong :Hammer

I\'ve recently had the Tein Flex kit fitted to my FD, found the ride a little hard until I remembered that I needed to adjust the damping. Found to be on the hardest settings, to dropped them back to +5 clicks from softest. Much nicer, but tempted the get the EDFC.

As soon as my cars back from having a rebuild im gona go ahead and get the Tein SS suspension with top mounts.  I think some of the bushes are probably a bit nackered aswell do you think its probably also worth getting the Powerflex kit from re:worx and getting that done at the same time??? or am i probably goin a bit far?, below are the details

POWERFLEX poly Front/Rear bush kit - FD3S RX7

Excellent value upgraded bushes to replace: front lower wishbone bushes (4), front upper wishbone bushes (4), front anti-roll bar mount bushes (2), rear trailing arm front bushes (2), rear track control arm inner bushes (2), rear upper wishbone bushes (4) and rear anti-roll bar mount bushes (2). NB: these are replacement BUSHES - they do not replace Mazda pillow ball/spherical bearings where used

Price: £297.00 + vat (£348.98 inc vat)

Also which bushes do you actually get with the Tein suspension???  I found the following pic on the reworx site which might help.  Soz i dont know much about suspension so dont know what i really need.

IIRC you do not get any bushes with the Tein SS ( i got the one without top-mounts though).

Over Xmas i installed the Powerflex poly bush kit, and i must say the handling has been transformed on track (it is slightly harsher on road though).

Last year at Croft my mates 200SX was keeping up with me through Jim Clarke Esses, but the other week when we returned i was leaving him for dead.  He said my car looked very sure-footed at high speed (Teins on \'4\' all round).

Cheers
Jon
