Can anyone tell me what connects to this pipe,My mind has gone completly dead :Hammer and i have lost a load of my pics showing wer everything went
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v14/Ste_Type-R/54.jpg)
its a single turbo that i\'m running so looking at the vac diagram it goes to the breather.
Is this correct ?
Yep, Thats a Breather on the Twin Turbo set up.
Every Single Turbo i\'ve come across have had that Blocked off.
thats what got me as i don\'t remember owt being on it
Its proberly blown the cap off (if it had one on)
also is this how people have connected there omp vac lines as this is how mine was and i\'m sure i\'ve seen other peoples setup different

From memory there not Vac pipes (there breathers) (they go to the two slightly bigger metal pipes on the Rats nest).
That\'s wrong. It needs to go to a vacuum source (ie pre turbo) rather than a boost source as it is on that pic.
Steve
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d26/Grizzly30/PICT0005.jpg This pic is still the Twin set up with the Extra Solanoids but you get the Picture where the Breather hoses go.
BTW you\'re not too far off the Big Dia pipe with the One way valve in it (on the bottom of the Upper intake) is where the breather system usaly starts off from on the Twins
these are wer they was connected
to a t-piece

then the other end went ther

i know where ya mean chris but singles don\'t always have that metal pipe
so has it been in the wrong place ?
OK, did it have any one way valve in? i\'ve not seen them hooked up like that before? maybe its just a diffrent way of doing the same job.

Hasn\'t yours? I know there are loads of ways of making an FD a Single Turbo but i\'ve not seen one with NO rats nest.
Don\'t know about wrong place?? but i would have thought it would have some sort of one way valve in it?
nope didn\'t have anything on it just the pipe like it shows
an other pic of it,definatly went there,Is there a different place to put it

Just looking at the Diagram of the Vac set up and that is Defo just a breather, i don\'t think they should be piped up that way.
thats ain\'t good then if before it was running like that :(

Here you go read this

that last link won\'t work

Not the best pic but there is a Guy on the US forum asking the same Question and this is the Pic he was Given.
yeh i seen that one before but also on the one i have there is a blanked off piece on the oil filler where as the one you just showed plumbs back into the plenum
there is two pipes on the oil Filler Tube, one should go back to the Upper inlet with a One way valve in.

this has another vac diagram down near the bottom of the page

Have you noticed they are using this pipe for the Wastegate Control?
Ok i\'m a bit confused, the Diagram shows them using the Larger Dia Pipe on the Inlet Manifold but the Pic of the car when they had finished shows them using the smaller Outlet on the Other side of the Lower Inlet manifold??
Man i\'m getting confused lol,
Just when i thought it was getting easy :)
Well oviously you are not having a problem with your Boost so leave that alone, just Plumb in the Oillers and block off all the other Vac ports. Then you should be Laffing :).
i hope lol,i havn\'t had much luck over the past year so hopefully some luck will come my way :)
Anyone else shed a light on this,I could just put it back how it was but then again this could be what caused my engine prob which has caused me to rebuild it
I\'ll try again. Your omp injectors need to see a vacuum source on those pipes, not a boost source. Plumbing them in to the uim will have them seeing boost. This is will affect the amount of oil injected. You need to plumb them to a vacuum source, usually between the air filter and the turbo intake.
The big pipe you\'ve arrowed above is for fuel atomisation. I\'ve blocked mine off on my single conversion.
Steve
nice one cheers,i wonder why it was plumbed in that way then when i 1st got it.
Its a fresh import from japan and the company who did it all was Re-action racing, would have thought they new what they was doing
