Title: Who runs water injection?
Post by: <--rYaN--> on December 23, 2003, 11:24:33 AM
Just wondering if anybody on here uses water injection in there car. Any good/bad stories about it? Which system (make) are you using?

Also how are you (or which is the best) way to have the nozzle set up??

Before the IC, after? Before the compressor or after? Into the intake?

Also are you using any mixes of water? Like 50/50 water methanol?

Thanks

Ryan

I have an aquamist system fitted, which kicks in at about 12 psi boost. Supply is from a 5 gallon sumped and baffled fuel tank that resides in the boot.

I am using the 1mm jet which supplies around 300-350 ml per minute. This is placed between the elbow and intercooler.

I have a dash display which indicates water consumtion via an electronic flow meter between the pump and the jet.

I also have a 200 litre drum of methanol in my garage which I will use at about 20% mix.

Can\'t report on it\'s use as I have yet to actually fire it up!

Because i spent ages waiting for my tank, and my car has been waiting for parts from Japan for over a month now.

Hence car has sat in garage feeling sorry for itself. I\'m at one bar at the moment.

Everything except the tank has been wired in for ages.
